These special materials are highly suitable for helping customers in the mobility, electronics, industry and infrastructure markets deal with environmental stress cracking and premature failure that may be caused by increased exposure to corrosive chemicals. Besides having higher chemical resistance than existing materials, the LNP ELCRES CXL copolymer resins can also enhance the durability and reliability of components with excellent low-temperature impact resistance and weatherability.

The PC/ABS alloy combines the high strength and heat resistance (110°C) of PC with the easy processability of ABS, widely used in automotive (dashboards, door handles), 3C electronics (laptop casings), communications (5G base station covers), and home appliances. It features UV resistance, flame retardancy (V-0 rating), and dimensional stability. Defects like silver streaks and warping are addressed through drying (120°C ×4h), mold temperature optimization, flow promoters, and structural design. Nano-enhanced (thermal conductivity 1.2 W/m·K) and bio-based modifications (40% carbon reduction) are expanding its applications in new energy and medical fields.

SABIC LEXAN™ 731S-701S is a high-flow, high-impact injection molding grade black polycarbonate (PC) material. It is opaque, with a notched impact strength of 80–90 kJ/m² and a heat deflection temperature of 130–135°C. Its melt flow index is more than 50% higher than that of standard PC, making it ideal for rapid molding of thin-wall, long-flow-path, and complex molds. Optimized mold release design reduces drag marks and improves yield. This black material delivers a high-gloss, light-blocking surface. Some batches offer V-2 flame retardancy and UV stability. It is widely used in electronic housings, automotive interior light-blocking parts, medical light-avoidance components, and safety goggle frames. CYCOLOY™ CX7240 is a high-performance, non-halogen flame retardant PC/ABS alloy from SABIC. It combines PC’s heat resistance and impact strength with ABS’s excellent flowability, achieving UL 94 V-0 rating down to 0.75 mm thin wall while complying with RoHS and REACH. With a density of 1.19–1.20 g/cm³, MFR of 15–18 g/10min, tensile modulus of 2600 MPa, and water absorption of only 0.20%, it delivers balanced rigidity, toughness, and dimensional stability.
