Tecnoflon® FKM and FFKM are synthetic fluorocarbon rubbers designed for demanding applications exposed to corrosive chemicals and high temperatures, such as in the automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, and semiconductor industries. They can be used with a wide range of liquids and chemicals, including automotive lubricants, fuels, and coolants, and can maintain a long service life under harsh end-use conditions. Typical applications include O-rings, seals, gaskets, hoses, and complex molded parts.

Fluoroelastomer (FKM)

Bisphenol curable

Bisphenol curable materials achieve a good balance between excellent processability and mechanical properties and sealing characteristics. They can be sold either as a base polymer or in systems with vulcanization components (formulated into various grades). Various combinations can be made according to viscosity, vulcanization rate, and crosslink density, making them suitable for different molding processes.

Peroxide curable

Peroxide curable grades have better chemical resistance than bisphenol cured FKM and are suitable for the most harsh end-use environments. Thanks to Solvay's proprietary branched and pseudo-living polymerization technology, these grades can be successfully processed by compression molding, transfer molding, or injection molding. They also have excellent extrusion properties and are suitable for hose and cable sheath production. This unique polymerization technology also brings unparalleled tensile properties and outstanding long-term sealing performance.

Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM)

The performance of Tecnoflon® PFR is the highest among all rubbers. They can withstand almost all kinds of chemicals, and some grades can withstand temperatures up to 300°C. Therefore, Tecnoflon® PFR becomes the preferred material for extremely demanding sealing applications. Various grades suitable for specific markets have been specially developed to meet the most stringent requirements in the semiconductor, oil and gas, and chemical industries.
