As an ideal anticorrosion material, HALAR ECTFE electrostatic spraying powder has been widely used in various industrial fields since 1975. Halar® ECTFE has unique comprehensive properties, including excellent corrosion resistance at high and low temperatures, outstanding impermeability, particularly smooth surface properties, excellent adhesion and high purity.

HALAR ECTFE is particularly suitable for the following working conditions:

• When products are used in high-temperature strong acid and strong alkali media.

• When other plastics (epoxy, polyamide, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, etc.) are not applicable.

• When other anticorrosive metals cannot be tolerated or are too expensive.

• When glass-lined equipment cannot be used due to chemical corrosion or unreliability (such as porcelain explosion).

Applied in industries with severe requirements.

In the chemical, papermaking, pharmaceutical, food processing and semiconductor industries, sprayed products achieve the best anticorrosion effect:

• Reactors and containers.

• Pumps and valves.

• Agitators and blades.

• Centrifuges and filters.

Coating system

Halar® ECTFE provides two powder coating solutions: primer plus topcoat or direct spraying without primer. In addition, there are grades suitable for bottled drinking water and food contact. All grades are processed by electrostatic spraying technology.

The HALAR ECTFE electrostatic spraying powder coating has the following advantages:

Chemical resistance

Halar® ECTFE shows excellent overall chemical resistance:

• Can tolerate most of the harsh chemicals commonly found in industry.

• As a hydrophobic material, it has particularly excellent resistance to strong acids and strong alkalis (pH 1–14).

• Cannot be dissolved by solvents below 150°C.

• Outstanding ozone resistance and high-energy radiation resistance.
