SABIC ULTEM™ 1000-1000MC is a medical-grade polyetherimide (PEI) specialty engineering plastic designed to meet the demanding requirements of medical devices and high-end manufacturing. It offers high strength, high rigidity, and good ductility, with a tensile strength of 105 MPa. The material operates continuously at 170°C and withstands hundreds of cycles of autoclave, EtO, and gamma sterilization. SABIC NORYL™ 731S-701S is a high-flow, high-impact injection molding grade black Polyphenylene Oxide (PPO) material. It is opaque, with a notched impact strength of 80–90 kJ/m² and a heat deflection temperature of 130–135°C. Its melt flow index is more than 50% higher than that of standard PPO, making it ideal for rapid molding of thin-wall, long-flow-path, and complex molds. Optimized mold release design reduces drag marks and improves yield. This black material delivers a high-gloss, light-blocking surface. Some batches offer V-2 flame retardancy and UV stability. It is widely used in electronic housings, automotive interior light-blocking parts, medical light-avoidance components, and safety goggle frames. SABIC ULTEM™ 2310 is a 30% glass fiber-reinforced polyetherimide (PEI) resin that combines excellent flowability, ultra-high strength (tensile strength up to 169 MPa), and inherent flame retardancy (UL94 V0 & 5VA). It features a heat deflection temperature of 210–220°C, continuous use from -160°C to 180°C, and very low mold shrinkage (0.2%–0.6%). The medical grade (HU2310) offers ISO 10993 or USP Class VI biocompatibility and withstands multiple sterilization methods. Ideal for medical devices, high-temperature connectors, semiconductor tooling, and aerospace/automotive components, ULTEM™ 2310 is the all round ace for demanding injection molding applications.
