PES is a high-performance specialty engineering plastic. PFAS, known as “forever chemicals,” are a large group of fluorinated substances with extremely stable carbon-fluorine bonds that resist degradation in the environment and pose health risks. BASF Ultramid® A 50H1 is a high performance PA66 grade based on a halogen free and phosphorus free flame retardant system. It achieves V 0 flammability rating while retaining the excellent mechanical strength and processability typical of polyamides. With a tensile modulus of 3800 MPa and good low temperature toughness – remaining robust even at –30°C – it resists brittle failure in harsh environments.
