From Feb 9-10, our team escaped to Chongming Island for a spring retreat. Day 1 featured our year-end review meeting, followed by team games and a warm dinner. Day 2 brought creative crafting sessions and collaborative challenges. Though brief, these two days refreshed us amidst nature and strengthened our bonds. PFAS, known as “forever chemicals,” are a large group of fluorinated substances with extremely stable carbon-fluorine bonds that resist degradation in the environment and pose health risks. In engineering plastics, fluoropolymers such as PTFE, PFA, and PVDF are used either as base materials or processing aids to provide heat resistance, low friction, and non-stick properties.
