SABIC ULTEM™ 1000-1000MC is a medical-grade polyetherimide (PEI) specialty engineering plastic designed to meet the demanding requirements of medical devices and high-end manufacturing. It offers high strength, high rigidity, and good ductility, with a tensile strength of 105 MPa. The material operates continuously at 170°C and withstands hundreds of cycles of autoclave, EtO, and gamma sterilization. It complies with ISO 10993 and USP Class VI biocompatibility standards, and features excellent chemical resistance, low smoke emission, and UL94 V-0 flammability rating. SABIC LEXAN™ 731S-701S is a high-flow, high-impact injection molding grade black polycarbonate (PC) material. It is opaque, with a notched impact strength of 80–90 kJ/m² and a heat deflection temperature of 130–135°C. Its melt flow index is more than 50% higher than that of standard PC, making it ideal for rapid molding of thin-wall, long-flow-path, and complex molds. Optimized mold release design reduces drag marks and improves yield. This black material delivers a high-gloss, light-blocking surface. Some batches offer V-2 flame retardancy and UV stability. It is widely used in electronic housings, automotive interior light-blocking parts, medical light-avoidance components, and safety goggle frames.
