As a global leader in the chemical industry, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation has launched its new LNP™ ELCRES™ CXL polycarbonate (PC) copolymer resins, which possess outstanding chemical resistance. These special materials are highly suitable for helping customers in the mobility, electronics, industry and infrastructure markets deal with environmental stress cracking and premature failure that may be caused by increased exposure to corrosive chemicals. Besides having higher chemical resistance than existing materials, the LNP ELCRES CXL copolymer resins can also enhance the durability and reliability of components with excellent low-temperature impact resistance and weatherability.

By understanding their properties and uses, we can appreciate the significant role they play in shaping both the microscopic and macroscopic aspects of our world.

Ether-based thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs) with excellent hydrolysis resistance Enhanced performance for a wide range of applications Sample-ready experimental grade product BASF presents a new ether-based thermoplastic polyurethane: Elastollan® 1400. The new TPU series offers excellent hydrolysis and microbial resistance, combined with stable processability and good compression set. The material has excellent burst pressure properties and can be processed by extrusion and injection molding. The aging stability of Elastollan® 1400 ensures long-lasting performance – a versatile choice for a wide range of applications.

When the project is advancing, it is necessary to promptly respond to the technical issues raised by the clients and the troublesome matters they report, and help them solve the actual problems. After the products are sent out, it is necessary to visit customers regularly to ask about how they are doing with the products, listen to their thoughts and suggestions, and then continuously improve the products and services.

This article systematically decodes nine key performance indicators of engineering plastics, covering basic properties, mechanical strength, surface and electrical characteristics, temperature/weather resistance, chemical stability, and cost economics. By comparing the performance differences and application scenarios of various plastic materials, it reveals the scientific principles and trade-off wisdom in material selection. The text emphasizes that in this era where materials define products, a deep understanding of plastic properties is fundamental for achieving product innovation and enhancing performance and value. It also looks forward to development trends toward high performance, functionality, and environmental sustainability.

At the 2026 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, robots evolved from dancing Yangge to executing backflips—more agile, more dynamic. Behind this leap is a "skeletal evolution" driven by specialty engineering plastics. PEEK is 70% lighter than steel, offering high strength, self-lubrication, and micron-level precision for flexible, accurate joints. PPS provides heat and chemical resistance, ensuring electrical system safety. "Replacing steel with plastics" solves range anxiety and enables cost-effective mass production through injection molding. From walking to running and jumping, every step in humanoid robot evolution relies on breakthrough materials.
