SABIC ULTEM™ 1000-1000MC is a medical-grade polyetherimide (PEI) specialty engineering plastic designed to meet the demanding requirements of medical devices and high-end manufacturing. It offers high strength, high rigidity, and good ductility, with a tensile strength of 105 MPa. The material operates continuously at 170°C and withstands hundreds of cycles of autoclave, EtO, and gamma sterilization. It complies with ISO 10993 and USP Class VI biocompatibility standards, and features excellent chemical resistance, low smoke emission, and UL94 V-0 flammability rating. SABIC NORYL™ 731S-701S is a high-flow, high-impact injection molding grade black Polyphenylene Oxide (PPO) material. It is opaque, with a notched impact strength of 80–90 kJ/m² and a heat deflection temperature of 130–135°C. Its melt flow index is more than 50% higher than that of standard PPO, making it ideal for rapid molding of thin-wall, long-flow-path, and complex molds. Optimized mold release design reduces drag marks and improves yield. This black material delivers a high-gloss, light-blocking surface. Some batches offer V-2 flame retardancy and UV stability. It is widely used in electronic housings, automotive interior light-blocking parts, medical light-avoidance components, and safety goggle frames. BASF Ultramid® B218EV30 is a 30% glass fiber reinforced PA66/6 copolymer that delivers high rigidity, excellent thermal aging resistance, and superior surface finish. With low shrinkage, dimensional stability, and good resistance to oils and chemicals, it is widely used in automotive engine components, high-voltage connectors, relay housings, and power tool casings. This material offers an ideal balance of mechanical strength, processability, and aesthetics, making it a premium upgrade over conventional PA66 GF30 grades for demanding structural applications.
