SABIC DU242 PEI: The Perfect Balance of High Flow and Low-Temperature Toughness SABIC ULTEM™ DU242 is a polyetherimide (PEI) blend engineered for complex parts and demanding environments. SABIC NORYL™ 731S-701S is a high-flow, high-impact injection molding grade black Polyphenylene Oxide (PPO) material. It is opaque, with a notched impact strength of 80–90 kJ/m² and a heat deflection temperature of 130–135°C. Its melt flow index is more than 50% higher than that of standard PPO, making it ideal for rapid molding of thin-wall, long-flow-path, and complex molds. Optimized mold release design reduces drag marks and improves yield. This black material delivers a high-gloss, light-blocking surface. Some batches offer V-2 flame retardancy and UV stability. It is widely used in electronic housings, automotive interior light-blocking parts, medical light-avoidance components, and safety goggle frames. BASF Ultramid® B218EV30 is a 30% glass fiber reinforced PA66/6 copolymer that delivers high rigidity, excellent thermal aging resistance, and superior surface finish.
