NORYL Model:

NORYL 6850C extrusion grade, blended with polystyrene resin. Suitable for (microwave) food packaging and complies with US and European food contact regulations.

NORYL 731 PPE + PS BLEND. UL94 HB rating. Low water absorption. Hydrolytic stability. Dimensional stability. This level no longer supports biocompatibility information and should not be used in medical applications that require biocompatibility.

NORYL 7310 PPE + PS BLEND. UL94 HB rating. Low water absorption. Hydrolytic stability. Dimensional stability. Suitable for fluid engineering applications: valve assemblies, water pump housings, etc.

NORYL FN150 meets UL standard 94 V-0/5V rating and has a wall thickness of 4 mm. These unique flammability properties make the FN150 the best choice for designing the best wall thickness in computers and business machines.

NORYL GFN2 20% fiberglass. UL746C F1。 Low water absorption. Hydrolytic stability. Dimensional stability. It is suitable for fluid engineering applications such as pump casings, impellers, valves, etc.

NORYL GFN3 30% fiberglass. Low water absorption. Hydrolytic stability. Dimensional stability. Suitable for fluid engineering applications, including pump casings, pump impellers, and water meter components.

NORYL GFN1 10% fiberglass. Low water absorption. Hydrolytic stability. Dimensional stability. Suitable for fluid engineering applications, including water filters and water meter components.

NORYL PX1180 is an unfilled, injection-moldable grade resin with improved impact properties with ISO 306 Vicat B/120 degrees Celsius and UL94 HB ratings. This grade has been developed for use in automotive interior applications requiring standard ECE instrument panel impact testing. The NORYL PX1180 can only be used in black.

Among materials with low specific gravity, NORYL has characteristics such as good weather resistance, good hydrolysis stability, high dielectric strength and optional non-halogenated flame retardants. It can be used to replace stamped steel, die-cast metals and brass in functional components. It is compatible with a variety of filling techniques for modification operations.

High stiffness and strength: It has high stiffness, tensile strength and flexural strength. Even in a high-temperature environment, as the temperature keeps rising, its modulus will gradually decrease, which is a prominent advantage.

Good creep resistance: Even at high temperatures, this material also has good creep resistance. Thanks to the high heat resistance of the material itself, its creep resistance will be even better after adding various filler systems.

Predictable impact strength: Its impact strength is predictable and hardly affected by humidity.

Good electrical properties: It has good electrical properties and good flame retardant performance in non-halogen flame retardant grades, which helps products meet a wide range of environmental standards, including the UL94 V-0 standard. Besides the low toxicity designed according to the GEI 02.37.2 standard, specific grades have also been specially designed to meet the low smoke requirements in the transportation field.

Chemical resistance: It usually has good tolerance to acids, alkalis and many cleaning agents, and has good hydrolysis stability. Its water absorption rate is at a relatively low level among all engineering thermoplastics.

Performance characteristics: It has a low mold shrinkage rate, good dimensional control and a relatively low mold shrinkage rate.

NORYL can be blended and modified with acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polyamide (PA), high-impact polystyrene (HIPS), glass fiber and so on.

Characteristics of polyphenylene oxide (PPO) plastic raw materials:

Polyphenylene oxide plastic raw materials are non-toxic, transparent, with a relatively low density, and possess excellent mechanical strength, stress relaxation resistance, creep resistance, heat resistance, water resistance, water vapor resistance and dimensional stability.

It has good electrical properties within a wide range of temperatures and frequencies, does not hydrolyze, has a small molding shrinkage rate, is flame-retardant and self-extinguishing. However, it has poor performance in resisting inorganic acids, alkalis, aromatic hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons and oils, and is prone to swelling or stress cracking.

Specific applications of NORYL:

Pure polyphenylene oxide materials have the disadvantages of poor melt fluidity and high price. The products on the market are all improved products with excellent comprehensive properties and are widely used in the following fields:

Electronics and electrical appliances field: It can meet the requirements of good electrical insulation under humid, loaded and high-temperature conditions, and can be used to prepare TV tuner sheets, coil cores, microwave insulating parts, shielding sleeves, high-frequency printed circuit boards, various high-voltage electronic components, and the housings of televisions, computers, fax machines and photocopiers.

Automotive industry: It is suitable for instrument panel parts, window frames, shock absorbers, pump filter screens and so on.

Mechanical industry: It is used as gears, bearings, pump impellers, blower impeller blades and so on.

Chemical industry: It is used to make corrosion-resistant parts such as pipes, valves, filter elements and submersible pumps.

Applications of NORYL after modification:

1. It is suitable for manufacturing heat-resistant parts, insulating parts, anti-friction and wear-resistant parts, transmission parts, medical and electronic parts.

2. It can be used to make parts such as gears, fan blades and valves that can be used at relatively high temperatures and can replace stainless steel.

3. It can be used to make screws, fasteners and connectors.

4. It can be used to make electrical parts such as motors, rotors, housings and transformers.

5. Polyphenylene oxide (PPO) and modified polyphenylene oxide (MPPO) are mainly applied in electronics and electrical appliances, automobiles, household appliances, office equipment and industrial machinery. Utilizing the heat resistance, impact resistance, dimensional stability, scratch resistance and peel resistance of modified polyphenylene oxide, as well as its coatability and electrical properties, they can be used to make automotive instrument panels, radiator grilles, speaker grilles, consoles, fuse boxes, relay boxes, connectors and wheel covers.

6. In the electronics and electrical appliances industry, they are widely used to make connectors, coil bobbins, mechanical part shields, switch relays, tuning devices, large electronic displays, variable capacitors, battery accessories, microphones and other parts.

7. In household appliances, they are used for parts of televisions, video cameras, video tapes, tape recorders, air conditioners, heaters, rice cookers and so on. They can also be used as external parts and components of photocopiers, computer systems, printers and fax machines.

8. In addition, they can be used to make the housings and parts of cameras, timers, water pumps and blowers, silent gears, pipes, valve bodies, surgical instruments, sterilizers and other medical instrument parts.

9. Through large blow molding, large automotive parts such as spoilers and bumpers can be made. Through low-foaming molding, it is suitable for making large products with high rigidity, dimensional stability, excellent sound absorption and complex internal structures, such as the housings, bases and internal supports of various machines, with a high degree of design freedom and lightweight products.
